Due to rapid growth over the past few years, we currently have an exciting vacancy to bolster our team of Applications and Sales Support Engineers (Electrical biased)
About the Role

Main Purpose
To lead and manage the team of application and sales support engineers.
Key Responsibilities
The technical team at Bender UK is at forefront of providing technical support on existing solutions, developing new innovative solutions, delivering expert seminars and other wide-ranging tasks to help customers find solutions to their problems.

Some of the key responsibilities for this remote role will be;
- Provide technical and managerial leadership to the application engineers (Electrical)
- Manage the applications' department day to day activities including resource allocation plus resource requirement.
- Develop the applications' department technical capabilities to meet with the business needs
- Provide functional/technical support to the team
- Keep their team motivated and provide them with the progression pathways
- Work closely with the sales department to facilitate new business wins
- Liaise with the Bender UK and Bender HQ to arrange trainings and knowledge transfer
- Complete regular employee reviews and provide feedback
- Understand Bender solutions and industry trends to work on new applications
- Provide excellent customer support
- Support technical director in developing strategic plans for their department
- Support wider business through internal and external trainings/seminars etc
- Represent Bender UK to external customers through meetings, calls and presentations
- To promote cross functional working and demonstrate a one team approach
- Lead/guide others in fulfilling complex technical projects
- Keep up to date with all the relevant legislations
- Complete all administrative tasks using the CRM system
- Ad hoc tasks as and when requested
- Help drive new business developments through expert advice and customer feedback
Any other tasks associated with leading a team. Your normal place of work will be home. You will be required to travel to Bender offices at Ulverston and to customer sites for meetings/technical support as needed. You will be required to support sales colleagues where requested.
Profile:
We are looking for someone with Electrical/Electronics or relevant technical background.
Degree qualified with a minimum 5 years’ experience or HNC/HND with a minimum 8 years’ working experience.
Prior managerial or leading experience is preferred, with an understanding of Electrical power systems or machine knowledge. it’s components and the ability to understand power distribution schematics is essential. Any knowledge of electrical switchgear, protection relays, circuit protection and earthing system will be an advantage. So will be the familiarity with PLC/HMI/Automation systems and communication protocols like Modbus/DNP3 etc.
You should be reliable and flexible – this role will be predominantly work from home with occasional travel to Ulverston on need basis. You will also need to travel to customer sites as and when needed. You should hold a full, clean drivers’ licence, be a self-starter and prepared to travel within the UK.
We are looking for someone who is competent, courteous, and professional. Someone who can demonstrate dedication to their stakeholders both internally and externally, possesses excellent time management skills and has the drive and desire to succeed.
You will be computer literate and be able to use MS Word, Excel etc.
You will be a team player with excellent planning & prioritisation skills. You will be very good with attention to detail and possess analytical skills.
